St. Joseph Catholic School

WELCOME to the 5th GRADE!!
2016-17 School Theme:
Go Make A Difference
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven."   (Matthew 5:16)
Mission for my class:
I hope to inspire in my students a love of learning that goes beyond the classroom,
and a desire to use the gifts God gave them and do their personal best at all times.
About Mrs. Miller:
I graduated from UC Riverside in 1984 and received my teaching credentials (Multiple Subject and Learning Handicapped) in 1985. I started teaching full time in the public school system in 1987 after a few years of subbing (and moving to Washington for 10 months). I spent 12 years teaching in regular education and special education classes. I received my Masters of Special Education in 1997 from Cal State Fullerton.  I made the move to St. Joseph School in 1999 and I have never looked back. I love being a part of this smaller, faith-filled community that feels more like a family than a school.
In my personal life, I've been married since 1985 and have two grown children who both went through SJS.  I have been a music minister at various churches since 1996 (currently St. Angela's in Brea).
I am so fortunate that my home life
and work life both have a spiritual life at its base.
God is good!!
